Autumn Reading List
In an effort to justify the buying of new books, I have compiled the entire list of unread books I currently have in Philadelphia. I would like to get through all of them before the end of 2006.
I guess I have to average 6 books a month to be done...but I thought I'd at least make an attempt.

that's quite a list. You make me feel better for being a compulsive book-buyer. My problem is, physical possession of a book is usually enough to satisfy me, mental possession being totally optional, so I have all these untouched classics. I think the worst one to have sitting on your shelf is War and Peace with a perfect spine...cuz you look pretentious AND stupid. Like, "oh you have War and Peace!!!" ... then "ohhhhhhh, you haven't read it yet, have you..."
oh, this is steph by the way. yes I succumbed to temptation and started a blog. The plan was to write about med school, but I've veered off... check out the "lifelong itch to write" though. I was thinking of you! Seriously, wouldn't it have been cool to write a book together? I mean, even if it turned out to be total crap, I'd still buy a million copies and feel this great sense of self-validation. :)

Hmm I keep on hearing horrible things about Hearthbreaking Work of Staggering Genius from people I trust...not a good sign. I'll put up a review after I'm finished.

I was watching Dr. 90210 last night, and the plastic surgeon was ramming a giant pole into this girl (for fake boobs) like she was an inanimate object, it's amazing that you can treat a body like that. It all seems so delicate. BTW I try to keep my urges of violence down, but there something about the plastic surgeon on Dr. 90210 that just screams "kick me in the balls".
They need to get Dr. 90210 into that torture scene from The Cell. It would be a little less annoying to see him proclaim the insane beauty of his small intestine as it's wound out of his cavity. Fucking plastic surgeons selling boobs like they're OxiClean.
I would love to write a book with you Steph, of course I think I would want you to do all the writing^_^. Maybe when we're both old?

and I know what you mean about cramming the tube-thing through the thorax to fill up the implants w/ saline...it makes me cringe, and I'm sure you get a ton of internal scar tissue afterwards.
